What is Merato?
An overview of the Merato recruiting marketplace, how it works, and who it's built for.
Overview
Merato is a two-sided recruiting marketplace that connects hiring companies with independent recruiters. Companies post open roles with bounties attached, and recruiters source, vet, and submit qualified candidates to earn those bounties on successful placements.
Unlike traditional recruiting agencies with long-term contracts and opaque fee structures, Merato operates on a transparent, pay-per-hire model. You only pay when a candidate is successfully placed and passes the guarantee period.

How It Works
Companies post roles
Create detailed job listings with a bounty amount and guarantee period. Set your ideal candidate profile and target companies to source from.
Recruiters join and source
Vetted recruiters browse available roles, join the ones that match their expertise, and source qualified candidates from their networks.
Candidates are submitted
Recruiters submit candidates with pitch notes explaining why they're a great fit. Companies review submissions through a visual pipeline.
Hire and pay bounty
When a candidate is hired and passes the guarantee period, the recruiter earns the bounty. Merato takes a 15% platform fee, and the recruiter receives 85%.
Who Is It For?
Merato serves three user types, each with a dedicated dashboard and tailored experience:
- Companies — Startups and scale-ups looking to hire top talent quickly without long-term agency contracts.
- Recruiters — Independent recruiters and boutique agencies who want access to high-quality roles with transparent bounties.
- Admins — Platform administrators who vet recruiters, manage companies, and resolve disputes.
