How We Handle Data
Merato is committed to protecting the privacy of all users and candidates. We process personal data in compliance with GDPR and applicable data protection regulations.
- Candidate data — Resumes, contact information, and profile details are stored securely and only shared with companies for the specific roles they're submitted to.
- User data — Account information, activity logs, and communication records are stored securely and used only for platform operations.
- Payment data — Financial information is processed through Stripe and never stored on Merato's servers.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — Correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — Object to processing of your personal data for specific purposes.
